1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VoiceCanvas, including its website, accounts, text-to-speech generation tools, downloads, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by ChuangXiangIT (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use VoiceCanvas for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The service
VoiceCanvas converts submitted text into synthesized speech using preset voices or, where available under your plan, voice descriptions and style controls. Features, available voices, supported languages, output formats, generation limits, and plan entitlements may change as the Service develops.
We may impose reasonable technical limits to protect reliability, security, and fair use. We do not promise that every input will produce an output, that outputs will be error-free, or that a particular voice or feature will remain available indefinitely.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are not old enough to do so independently where you live, a parent or legal guardian must authorize and supervise your use of the Service.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- Keep your password and account access confidential.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Accept responsibility for activity performed through your account.
You may not share, sell, transfer, or automate access to an account in a way that bypasses plan limits or security controls.
4. Your content and generated output
Your inputs
You retain any rights you have in the text, voice descriptions, instructions, and other material you submit (“Input”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, and process Input only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the Input and to use the resulting audio. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information unless you are authorized to have it processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Generated output
As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may use audio generated for you (“Output”) subject to these Terms and the limits of your plan. Because machine-generated results may not be unique, other users may receive similar Output. You are responsible for reviewing Output and deciding whether your intended use is lawful, accurate, appropriate, and respectful of third-party rights.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use, or help anyone use, VoiceCanvas to:
- break any law or facilitate fraud, harassment, threats, or harmful deception;
- impersonate a real person, clone or imitate a voice without authorization, or mislead listeners about whether speech is authentic;
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- create sexual exploitation material or content that endangers children;
- distribute malware, interfere with the Service, probe its security, or evade limits;
- reverse engineer or extract models, source code, or non-public service components; or
- resell access unless we have agreed to it in writing.
We may investigate suspected misuse and preserve or disclose relevant information when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or legal compliance.
6. Subscriptions, payment, and cancellation
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions for the billing period shown at checkout. Prices, taxes, currency, renewal timing, and the features included in a plan are displayed before purchase. Unless canceled, a subscription automatically renews and the payment method on file is charged for the next period.
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for paid transactions. Your purchase is also subject to the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms. Paddle processes payment details, taxes, receipts, chargebacks, and approved refunds. We do not receive your full card details.
You can cancel through the Paddle customer portal opened from your VoiceCanvas account or from the link in your transaction email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise. See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
We may change plan prices or features prospectively. Where required, advance notice will be provided and any price change will apply no earlier than a future renewal.
7. VoiceCanvas ownership
The Service, including its software, interface, branding, documentation, curated voice catalog, and underlying technology, is owned by or licensed to ChuangXiangIT and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service. They do not transfer ownership of the Service or its technology to you.
8. Third-party services
VoiceCanvas relies on third parties for services such as speech generation, hosting, analytics, email delivery, data storage, and billing. Their systems may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that we do not control, but we remain responsible for our own obligations under applicable law.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, threatens the Service or another person, creates legal risk, has unpaid charges, or must be restricted by law. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including provisions on ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability—will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Generated speech may contain pronunciation, tone, factual, or other errors and should not be relied on for emergency, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or identity-verification purposes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChuangXiangIT and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for VoiceCanvas during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100.
These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-excludable responsibility. Mandatory local consumer protections remain unaffected.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security practices, or our business. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material and notice is required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before its next renewal.
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the policies they reference, form the agreement between you and ChuangXiangIT regarding VoiceCanvas.
